Why We Support Renewable Energy
Bauer Power has been a provider of renewable
energy solutions for residential and commercial
applications since 2005. Bauer Power specializes in
solar electricity, wind electricity, solar water heating,
and solar pool heating. Based in western Michigan,
Bauer Power has done installations across the
Midwest.
Although the alternative energy revolution has already
begun, there are still those who are unaware of the
effectiveness of solar and wind power. Part of owner
Mark Bauer's passion includes educating consumers
and businesses about the value, both financial and
environmental, of using renewable forms of energy.
Mark frequently conducts free seminars at his office
and teaches courses offered through Grand Rapids
Community College. Mark also attends countless
conferences and meetings.
Bauer Power History
As an active nature lover, Mark Bauer, owner and
president of Bauer Power and educator for the Great
Lakes Renewable Energy Association, has always had
an interest in reducing the impact we have on the
environment. He is motivated by the very fact that it
"has to be done," Mark explains.
After serving in the U.S. Marine Corps, owner Mark
Bauer spent time working as a traveling art gallery
representative and a self-taught laser printer
repairman before taking on ownership of a computer
company, and ultimately owning a residential
construction company.
With all this experience behind him, Mark decided to
focus his efforts on developing a renewable energy
company that would utilize his talents in aesthetics,
technology, and construction; thus Bauer Power was
created in 2005. As Mark says, "I firmly believe all my
past experience in life has led me to this very place
and time to do just this."
